Humphrey's Handmade is owned and operated by Joe and Kelly Humphrey who are parents of two lovely children in Johnstown, Ohio. The soap and body care items are fulfilled by Joe, and Kelly does the fiber arts line.

We enjoy creating handcrafted soaps, candles, wax melts, lip balms, beard oils, body wash and fragrance oils with high quality ingredients. We use all of our own products, so guarantee that they're fabulous.

Our company was originally started by selling pottery, and fiber related goods such as hats, scarves and other knitted or crocheted items. We moved away from this type of product in 2014 but plan on bringing back in 2022! The fiber arts related items are made by Kelly using a variety of knitting, crochet and tunisian crochet techniques.

We are huge horror buffs, and it shows in our work. We incorporate zombies, vampires, sugar skulls and other horror themes into many of our items. We have a good sense of humor, so don't be surprised if you see some silly product names here or there.

All of our products are free of parabens and phthalates and made in Ohio USA!

Cold Process Soap
Our cold process soap is poured into loaves and then cut to 1" bars. Ingredients include olive oil, soybean oil, coconut oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, water, sodium hydroxide fragrance and color

Glycerin Soap
Our glycerin soap formula is perfect for hands, as a shampoo bar, or for shaving. It's slick and lathers thick. Our signature glycerin formula includes argan oil, calendula extract, sunflower oil and aloe leaf extract. Pucks are 2.75" in diameter, which fits perfectly in your hand.

Perfume & Cologne Oil Roll-Ons
Cologne and fragrance oil is made with fragrance or essential oil and golden jojoba oil - that's it :)

Beard Oil 
Our beard oils and serums use apricot, avocado and almond oils along with fragrance or essential oils. 

We currently offer two scents, Patchouli and Hempermint, that use hemp seed oil in the mixture, please view item descriptions for a full listing of ingredients. 

Body Sprays 
No nasty ingredients here! Our body sprays use a simple mixture of distilled water, witch hazel and fragrance or essential oils.

Castile Liquid Soap
Our liquid soap uses a simple recipe of coconut and sunflower oil which will not strip your skin of it's natural oils.

Handcrafted Lip Balms 
Balms are made from scratch and do not use pre-made bases. Balms are made with jojoba oil, cocoa butter, caster oil and beeswax. No colorant is used. Cocoa Powder may be used to add natural chocolate coloring.

Candles
Candles are made from scratch and hand poured in small batches. Color may vary depending on the scent (vanilla undertones may cause darkening). Soy wax and beeswax is available. Soy wax is made with soybeans grown in the Midwest USA. Cotton wicks are used

Wearables

Our hats, scarves, cowls and other wearable items are made with wool or wool blends. Yak, merino, alpaca, and other fibers are chosen with care and used in our creations. We use a wide variety of techniques to create our fabric including knitting, crochet and Tunisian crochet.

None of our products are tested on animals... they're only tested on us :)

We are open to customization in limited circumstances. Some specifics are below, for anything unanswered please contact us.

Labels:

Custom labeling is done for free. We create all of our own labels, so if you would like it to say something special just let us know.

Soaps:

For custom soaps (customized colors etc...) you must purchase a full batch of 4 soaps. If requesting a brand new scent not currently available there may be an additional fee. Cold Process soaps are not available in custom batches due to the curing process.

Beard Oils:

We can do custom beard oil blends if it's scents we have available. We do not currently source new scents for beard oil blends. If wanting a custom mixture let us know, there is generally no up-charge. We can also do beard oils in feminine scents, or add hemp oil into fragrances that don't typically have it.
